What is the Target Car Seat Trade-In? It’s a way you can safely recycle old car seats that are expired (or just really dirty and gross from use!). And you get something in return! Target corporate explains it this way: “Guests who trade in their old car seats will receive a 20 percent off coupon toward a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear, such as playards, high chairs, swings, rockers and bouncers.”
When is it? Target’s current car seat trade-in event is going on now until September 26.
What kinds of car seats will Target trade in? “Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged.”
When can the coupon be used? The 20% off coupon will then be eligible through October 3, 2020. The coupon can be combined with other offers!
Can the coupon only be used in-store? No! While you have to go to a store to drop off the car seat and get the coupon, you can use it in-store or online!

Fun Fact: Target started it the program in 2016 and have already recycled half a million car seats! This equates to more than 7.4 million pounds of car seat materials recycled already!
There’s the skinny! I love this program because it’s good for the environment, and good for you! You can see the full details here.
