The Baby Products We Used Most Often the First Year!!

Two babies crying. That’s what I remember the most about the first year. Trust me, we tried everything. Diet changes (for me), chiropractor, gripe water, gas drops, holding, rocking…

Yes, there were tons of smiles and giggles and sweet moments as well. I have a slight recollection of those and tons of beautiful pictures to remind me! However, we not only had twins and had to get to know two babies at the same time, we also had two very fussy, very needy babies. The absolute best help we had throughout this time was my mom coming every day to help out! I will never be able to thank her enough! Even with her help we needed some extra assistance. We were super blessed to be given many wonderful gifts from family and friends. Also, my SIL let us borrow most of her baby items so we didn’t have to get 2 of everything new! That would have been insane.

So, while I’ve never experienced having 1 baby at a time in our home, I do have lots of experience trying to keep babies happy!! The great thing is that very few of my “Favorite” products are Twin-Specific so really this could be applied to any and every baby registry. These got us through a lot of tough times!

The Graco Duetsoothe Swing + Rocker, Sapphire:

We loved this because it was a swing and a bouncer!
The Graco Duetsoothe Swing + Rocker, Sapphire:

We had the
– Bumbo Floor Seat:

But a friend has the Sit-Me-Up and I think I might prefer it!
– Fisher-Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat:

We also loved the Fisher-Price Auto Rock ‘n Play Sleeper:

We had both of these jumpers and the twins loved both of them!

Some Twin-Specific Items:

I had both of these at the beginning. I hear great reviews on the My Brest Friend but I MUCH preferred the Twin-Z. Watch Zulily for both of these as they sometimes go on sale there.

And just for fun, some of our Favorite Books:

Expecting? Check out Amazon’s Baby Registry!

Are you expecting a new baby? You should definitely plan ahead by making your own Amazon Baby Registry! We did when we were expecting the twins and it was super easy! Not only did I not even have to leave my own couch, it also made it easy for our friends and family who were far away to order and have our gift shipped directly to us. Plus, once there were orders from our registry we received a fun box of goodies FREE from Amazon!

It’s super easy and Amazon will walk you through it. Make sure you follow ALL the setup steps to be eligible to earn the FREE Welcome Box.

My Favorite Amazon Subscribe & Save Items (so far!)

Update 3/15/19: BUMMER! A lot of the diaper deals I used to get on S&S don’t seem to be there! I will keep my eyes out for more great diaper deals! You can always check out Target’s diaper subscription – they have great deals there as well!

Amazon Subscribe and Save has been a lifesaver for me! My FAVORITE item to buy through S&S for the past 3 years has been diapers. Name brand diapers at off brand prices (tbh I don’t really care what the brand is… as long as they don’t irritate my babes skin and they’re cheap!). I also get lots of household and baby care items through Amazon S&S.

Have you ever used it? It’s a great deal for items you know you’re going to need the next month, but don’t need right away. You can also get incredible deals on products when you use a “first time purchasing” coupon. It’s the best thing in the world when everything just shows up at my door!

Here are some of the items I’ve purchased through S&S (make sure you add them to your subscribe and save, not purchase now, for the best price!).

Household Items:

Baby products:

  • Honest Calming Lavender Hypoallergenic Bubble Bath:
  • Pampers Sensitive Water-Based Baby Diaper Wipes, 9 Refill Packs for Dispenser Tub – Hypoallergenic and Unscented – 576 Count:
  • Pampers Sensitive Water-Based Baby Diaper Wipes, 9X Pop-Top – Hypoallergenic and Unscented – 504 Count:

That’s only a small portion of the Subscribe & Save Items I love! I’ll do another post soon with the snacks I buy for the boys on S&S! Also, I’d love to hear what types of items you’re looking to save money on in the future!

FREE Leggings from Fabletics!

A few months ago I signed up for a Fabletics VIP subscription to get 2 pairs of leggings for $24. I LOVE my leggings (they have POCKETS!!!) and it was totally worth it. I personally canceled after getting my leggings because I didn’t need the monthly subscription. But now, I wish I would have waited until this Swagbucks deal! You sign up for a Fabletics VIP subscription through Swagbucks, and get $25.20 back! That makes the leggings essentially FREE! I can’t remember if you have to pay shipping or not. (If you do the deal, comment here so we know!)

To get the deal:
– If you haven’t yet, register for Swagbucks.
– Search the Swagbucks site for Fabletics.
– Click Shop Now.
– Sign up for Fabletics and pick out your deal!
– FYI it can take up to 32 days for your Swagbucks points to show up in your account.
– Also, if you don’t want to continue your Fabletics subscription, make sure you cancel before the 5th of next month or you’ll get charged again. Of course, you’ll be able to get more clothes with that charge, but not everyone wants it, so be aware.
– Enjoy your new leggings (or other athletic wear!).

1 Month Hulu & 2 Months GameFly FREE, plus Money Back!

If you haven’t yet, go to Swagbucks and sign up for these offers that will put money back in your pocket! Most of these offers are signing up for a subscription so you need to cancel it if you don’t want to continue paying. Don’t cancel TOO soon though. For example, if you cancel your Hulu account before 8 days or GameFly before 10 days they will revoke your Swagbucks. Your points also don’t usually show up right away – some take 32 days. All of this is in the fine print or details, so just make sure you read thoroughly and you’ll be fine!

Once you’ve signed up for Swagbucks, search their page for the following offers. You get to try out some fun new things, and you won’t lose money doing it! In fact, you’ll make some!

GameFly – Pay $10 for a 2 month subscription and get 2500 points (worth $25 in gift cards to your favorite store or PayPal).

Hulu – The cheapest option for a subscription is $7.99/month, but with this offer, you’ll get 2400 points (worth $24) back!
