I’m just really getting this blog up and running, and realized I haven’t introduced myself!
Hi! My name is Chandler. And I honestly LOVE finding a good deal! My husband, Luke, is also a great deal finder. So this blog has become an extension of us. We currently live in the Midwest, but both of us love to travel and have been/lived all over the world.
The “Fun2Find Deals” name comes from our most recent adventure – our twins! They came two at a time – and I’ve spent a lot of time trying to provide for them within our financial means! I stayed home full time for their first 2 years of life, and have gone back to work on a very limited basis when they turned 2 – so spending money wisely is important. The twins are the “2” in “Fun2Find Deals.” And trust me, for me, deals are FUN to find.
My love of finding deals goes waaaaay back! I can remember my Granddad Kenneth buying the Consumer Reports magazines and reading up on every topic. Cars, televisions, and computers being some products that stand out most in my mind. If he purchased something, you knew he’d put a lot of time into researching – not necessarily for the cheapest item, but the best product for the money. It taught me a wise use of my finances available.
In turn, my dad had each of us kids wait a pre-determined amount of days before we were allowed to buy something new. We had to tell him we wanted it, then think about it for 30 days (usually). Then, if we still wanted to buy the item, we were allowed to go get it. 30 days is a LONG time for a kid!
All of this caused me to think a lot about the things I buy. Even necessities like groceries or clothes and shoes receive a lot of thought and time spent searching before I spend any money. My husband is a lot like me in this. He is constantly searching for the best deal on the things he wants/needs. He is also really good at fixing things up and helps us out a lot by finding a good deal and making it GREAT for our family.

What is Fun2Find Deals?
Fun2Find Deals is a site where you can find the best deals on a little bit of everything! I have shared deals for dish soap, kids’ toys & games, lawn equipment, furniture, trash bags, retractable dog leashes, paper goods and everything in between! Since deals move really quickly I post the most to my Facebook Page as it’s the easiest way to find them quickly for you! Make sure you have your settings on “see all” so you don’t miss a deal. I’d love to have you come like my page!
Why did you start Fun2Find Deals?
My husband and I are constantly looking for the best deals on everything and I was always sharing them on my personal page. We often send deals to each other that we like. I started sharing the deals I found on my personal Facebook page, but that seemed annoying for my friends who didn’t want to see a bunch of products for sale. I thought it would make sense to start a public page where I could share more deals and not post as many to my personal page. I’ve actually wanted to do this for a long time, but only got up the nerve to really go for it in the last year!

I’m excited about deal finding because I feel like we can afford more toys and activities for the boys that we wouldn’t be able to if we were paying full price.
While some of the deals are just things I randomly find while searching for things we need, some of them are sent to me by specific vendors. I weed through the codes they send and find ones that work and that would be helpful! It can be really time consuming, but it’s also really fun when I find an awesome deal! I also frequently share deals I find as I’m searching for things for our family.
Does it cost your readers any extra to buy through your links?
No! I am part of several programs that essentially pay me a tiny percentage of the sale for advertising for them! I make pennies on most sales, but it doesn’t change the price for you at all! It helps me and doesn’t affect your price point at all!
Do you buy ALL the deals yourself?
Haha! No! We live primarily on my husband’s income and have a budget, so there’s no way I could buy them all! I do like to try out the clothes I find that are highly discounted, but even then I can’t buy ALL of them! On the flip side, I try to only post deals that have great reviews if I haven’t had a chance to try them myself! My goal is to offer quality items. I don’t earn anything if a product is returned, so it doesn’t help me to share a terrible product that everyone is going to hate.
Nope! My primary job is of course being mom to my 3 year old twins, and growing our little one on the way, but I also work as a Registered Nurse! I’ve worked with adults and on a pediatrics unit. Right now I take care of the tiny preemies in the NICU.
When you have 2 seconds to yourself what do you usually end up doing with your time?
Hmmm. I often take that time to pluck my eyebrows. Lol! It’s comforting to feel just a little better about myself. They are sorely overlooked. I need to paint my nails, too. Someday I want to start reading again.

What’s your favorite part of the job?
Definitely finding an amazing deal that everyone loves! I also appreciate that I can do this on my own time when my boys are playing or after they go to bed at night. It’s definitely a balancing act trying to find the best deals and to also stop and make time for my family when I need to.
What’s one final thing you want to share with your readers?
I couldn’t do this without you! My page grows by word of mouth the best, so when you share my Facebook page or tell others about my blog you’re helping me out just as much as if you buy through my page! Also, if you buy *anything* through my links I earn a small commission, not just the original linked item. This helps me so much! Let’s be real, most of us will refuse to purchase something if we have to pay shipping, even if it’s a stellar deal! The Smithsonian is offering free tickets to lots of Museums on 9/21/19! Not just Smithsonian Museums! You can go here to see which Museums near you are participating!
From the Smithsonian’s website: “Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. The Museum Day ticket provides free admission for two people on Saturday, September 21, 2019”
I looked around at local museums participating and there’s some great ones in and around Wichita, KS! The Art Museum, The Museum of World Treasures, and The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum are all participating. In fact, even the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson is a participating museum!
